Community

As the world’s largest technical professional organization, IEEE offers a number of ways to get involved with technical and local communities. These communities are active participants in research and authorship, conferences, and important conversations about today’s most relevant technical topics locally and globally. To learn more about IEEE communities, for more information please read the IEEE Communities.

Knowledge Communities

IEEE knowledge groups are member and volunteer-driven communities, providing cutting-edge research and knowledge on various topics.

Local Communities

IEEE is divided into ten worldwide geographic regions. Within the regions, there are local sections, chapters, and affinity groups. Together, these units conduct over 10,000 meetings a year and enable members to network and explore their technical interests as a community.
