Events – IEEE AUST Student Branch

It has been decided that IEEE AUST Student Branch will try to arrange 3-4 workshops and two seminars per semester. Since engineering education cannot be completed without any practical knowledge and industries are the best place to acquire that knowledge, IEEE AUST SB will try to arrange an industrial tour each semester. IEEE AUST SB is also enthusiastic to arrange several other events such as job fair or project show or larger events in collaboration with IEEE Bangladesh Section.

The founding director of the Advanced Research Institute at Virginia Tech has been serving IEEE for more than 40 years, Hon’ble 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳. 𝗗𝗿. 𝗦𝗮𝗶𝗳𝘂𝗿 𝗥𝗮𝗵𝗺𝗮𝗻 has been elected as the 𝗜𝗘𝗘𝗘 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁-𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟮 of the Global-IEEE as the first Bangladeshi.

𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳. 𝗗𝗿. 𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗮 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗵𝗻𝗮𝘇 has been elected as the 𝗜𝗘𝗘𝗘 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗿-𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟮 as the first Bangladeshi Woman. She has been serving IEEE for over 20 years through several significant projects and activities.

𝗔𝗵𝘀𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗵 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 (𝗔𝗨𝗦𝗧) will organize a reception program to felicitate Hon’ble Prof. Dr. Saifur Rahman, IEEE President-Elect 2022, on 𝟭𝟮 𝗗𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟭.

The event will be strategically supported by IEEE AUST Student Branch, IEEE AUST SB WIE Affinity Group, IEEE SPS & IEEE ComSoc Joint SB Chapter, AUST, and IEEE PES AUST Student Branch Chapter.

This occasion will be one of the proudest moments for the IASB and its affiliated AG & Technical Chapters. More details will be announced soon.
