Kate Murphy has a passion for Renewable Energy and Technology. Kate moved to New Zealand from overseas after completing a Bachelor of Engineering at UCC, Cork, and after spending some time with “MaREI”, Marine and Renewable Energy Ireland. In New Zealand she obtained her Masters of Energy at the University of Auckland, with a focus on the GREEN Grid topic of voltage control in distribution networks with increasing solar PV and battery storage systems. Kate now holds the position of “New Technology Engineer” at Vector and works closely with many teams within the business to provide alternative new solutions for Vector’s Network and its customers.
