ICEMSInternational Conference on Electrical Machines and Systems

An event covering electric machines, drives, and applications, typically held in late Summer or Fall in Asia.  It is organized in turn by a sister engineering organization from China (CES), Korea (KIEE), or Japan (IEEJ/IAS), as well as others on occasion.  This event is comparable to ECCE with more of a focus on machines, and always held in Asia.  It is scheduled for Harbin, China from the 11th to 14th of August, 2019.

SDEMPED:  International Symposium on Diagnostics for Electric Machines, Power Electronics and Drives

logo-sdemped

This focused and highly successful symposium is the go-to place for individuals interested in diagnostics for machines, power electronics and drives.  It is now co-sponsored by IAS, PELS, and IES.  The 2019 event is scheduled for Toulouse, France, “the pink city”, August 27-30.

LDIALinear Drives for Industry Applications

The aims of the symposium are to bring together researchers from both academia and industry, and to share research findings and discuss future developments in linear drive technologies. Started in Tokyo in 1995, LDIA is now established as a regular biennial event. The research topics include trends and new developments of linear drives, electromagnetic linear motors, non-electromagnetic linear motors, direct drive motors and actuators, control methods for linear drives, levitation technologies, subsystems for linear drives, applications of linear drives and levitation technologies, analysis of electromagnetic field and force, materials and other related topics and new technologies.  LDIA 2017 took place in Osaka, Japan, sponsored by IEE Japan.  The next event will take place in Neuchâtel, Switzerland, July 1-3, 2019 (LDIA 2019).

SLED:   Symposium on Sensorless Control for Electrical Drives

The symposium focuses on various methods sensorless control techniques for electric drives.  This symposium, first started in Europe, has expanded to North America (2012), Asia (Japan, 2014), and the Pacific (Fidji, 2016).  The next event (and 10th edition) is scheduled for September 9-10, 2019, in Torino, Italy.
