Poster Session Guidelines

  • One poster board is allocated to each presentation. The recommended poster size is Landscape format, Arch E which is 36 inches high by 48 inches wide ( 92 cm x 122 cm ). European alternative ISO A0 (84 cm x 119 cm) can also be used.
  • Posters must be mounted using push pins provided by the organizing committee.
  • The title of your paper should appear at the top of your poster in CAPITAL letters that are at least 1 inch high. Below the title put author(s) name(s) and affiliation(s). Use pictures, cartoons, and figures rather than text wherever possible. Bright colors greatly enhance the attention of the viewer.
  • Use text sparingly. State the main result of your paper in six or less lines using 3/4 inch high letters. The flow of your poster should be from top left to bottom right. You may use arrows to lead through the paper.
  • Each poster presenter is required to defend his/her poster during the 2-hour period when judging is taking place.
  • Have your business cards available for those who may wish to contact you at a later date.
  • Bring along a tablet of blank paper that you may use for a discussion of technical details relating to your poster.
