IEEE CSS Student Travel Grant to ASCC 2024

IEEE Control System Society Thailand Section is pleased to announce five Student Travel Grants (STGs) to support students in Thai universities who will attend and present their papers in technical sessions at ASCC 2024. These travel grants include registration fees and/or travel expenses (if any).

Amount 7,500 Baht per student and up to 5 students for ASCC 2024.

Qualifications for Eligibility

To be eligible for the IEEE CSS Thailand Student Travel Grant, an applicant must meet the following qualifications:

1. Be an IEEE student member: The applicant should be a registered student member or a member of the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers).
2. Be a full-time student at a university in Thailand: The applicant must be enrolled as a full-time student (bachelor’s, master’s, or Ph.D.) at a university in Thailand during the paper submission deadline. Additionally, they must possess a valid student ID from the Thai university.
3. Be the author or co-author of an accepted paper at ASCC 2024: The applicant should be either the author or a co-author of a paper that has been accepted for presentation at ASCC 2024.
4. One-time grant application: An applicant can apply for the grant only once. Multiple applications for the same applicant will not be accepted.
5. Register as an author/presenter: The applicant should be registered as an author or presenter for the paper they intend to present at the conference.
6. Affiliation in the paper: The applicant’s affiliation in the paper should be listed as the Thai university where they are currently enrolled OR their student advisor at the Thai university should be listed as a co-author.
7. Attend the conference and present the paper: The student must attend the ASCC 2024 conference and personally present the accepted paper.

Selection Criteria

Applications will be evaluated and selected by the organizing committee according to the following criteria:

• The necessity of a travel grant for the student
• The overall quality of the paper
• Recommendation letter from advisor/supervisor

Application Procedure

The application form and other documents must be submitted electronically to   itthisek@siit.tu.ac.th  and napasool.wo@kmitl.ac.th with the subject as “IEEE CSS Student Travel Grant to ASCC 2024.” The following documents are required for application:

1. IEEE CSS Student Travel Grant Application Form
2. Receipt of registration payment
3. Notification of paper acceptance and review comments (if any)
4. Scanned copy of valid student ID card in Thai University
5. Proof of IEEE membership
6. Recommendation letter from advisor/supervisor

Note: All files should be PDF format and enclosed in one zip file. Incomplete application will not be considered for the IEEE CSS Student Travel Grant to ASCC 2024.
