Centre for System Intelligence and Efficiency Seminar Series

27 October 2022

Presenter #1: Associate Prof. Fei Teng

Co-sponsored by IEEE PES Singapore ChapterCentre for System Intelligence and Efficiency (CSIE) is organizing an on-site seminar by inviting Associate Professor Fei Teng from Imperial College London UK to share his views on low inertia, low grid strength and low short-circuit level, driven by the large-scale integration of Inverter-Based Resources (IBRs). His talk will present a new generation of system operation strategies to simultaneously optimize the control design and the operation decision through a stability-constrained optimization framework. We will briefly introduce our work on the development of efficient dynamics-aware stability constraints, the modelling of control capabilities of IBRs, the extension of the optimization framework and the uncertainty management in system dynamics.

Speaker: Associate Professor Fei Teng
Topic: Operation of Future Power Systems with High Penetration of IBRs: A Stability-constrained Stochastic Scheduling Approach
Date:  27 October 2022 (Thursday)
Time:  10:30 am – 11:30 am
Venue:  School of EEEExecutive Seminar Room (S2.2-B2-53)

This event is co-sponsored by IEEE PES Singapore Chapter and chaired by Associate Professor Xu Yan. Registration is not required and light refreshment will be provided.
