PES Outstanding Chapter Award, OCA
Each year the Power & Energy Society Outstanding Chapter Award is given to the chapter that is judged to provide the greatest overall contribution and service to its members in Technical and Societal Activities, Membership Advancement, Fellow Nominations and Awards and Enlistment of New PES Members.
The winning chapters receive the prize during the Awards Lunch of the PES General Meeting. PES Panama Chapter received this recognition in 2004 and most recently in 2013!!!.
PES High Performing Chapter Program, HPCP
The Power & Energy Society organizes every year the PES High Performing Chapter Program. All chapters are eligible to participate and a series of activities are evaluated in order to measure the performance of the Chapter. PES Chapters Membership Grow Contest
The Power & Energy Society organizes every year the PES Chapters Membership Growth Contest and all the chapters are eligible to participate. The number of members is measured according to the statistics at December 31st and is compared with the previous year. This way determines which chapters is the winner of the contest. The Panama chapter participated in the year 2007 and obtained the second place with a growth of 43% of professional membership. The first place was held by Venezuela.
PES Chapters Web Site Contest
Every year, the Power & Energy Society carries out the PES Chapters Web Sites Contest. All PES Chapters are eligible to participate. The Panama Chapter obtained the second place of this contest in the years 2007 and 2008.
