For the first time, EPSSCOM 2022 this year will be held physically at Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM), Shah Alam. Following similar formats as the previous two years, participating groups from the higher learning institutes in Malaysia and nearby countries will compete in innovatively solving the actual power system problem through simulation, report and video submissions as well as live Q&A session, attended by the academics and industry panels from various universities and power companies.
The competition is aimed to provide a platform for undergraduate electrical engineering students to present their simulation works, share their ideas and experiences in power and energy engineering with industrial experts and academic scholars.
The competition is free for any undergraduate students to participate where the students have to form a team of 3-5 students and nominate one advisor from their university to guide the way. In order to recognize the IEEE PES Malaysia efforts in providing the platform, at least one of the participating student in a group must be registered and be an active IEEE PES member at the time of competition.
