Mike Anthony was the first full-time staff engineer devoted entirely to the design, construction operation and maintenance of United States college and university high voltage power system. Up until 1982 all United States colleges and university retained outside consultants — i.e. “Owner Engineer”. Among his duties in this capacity (from 1982 – 2016) he was the Athletic Department’s Owner Engineer for the 2009 buildout which included the first scoreboard upgrade. The link below redirects you to previous technical tours of Mike’s previous projects for University properties — notably the Fairlane Mansion Hydroplant designed and built by both Thomas Edison and Henry Ford. He is Chairman of IEEE’s Industrial Application Society Education & Healthcare Facility Committee and continues to run an engineering practice on State Street, across from the South Athletic Campus.
