…”We have been asked to investigate all-electric vehicles for some of our campus fleet (postal services, ITS, and some facilities vehicles).  We have some concerns about their use in colder climates such as ours in Flagstaff [Arizona].  We have not had great experiences with some of our pilot tests and we have not had good feedback from others we have talked with, so I am reaching out to see if anyone has had good experiences with a particular manufacturer of electric vehicles in colder climates.  Some of the concerns we have heard and experienced include inefficient heat and defroster in cold temperatures, not enough drive cycle time to regenerate batteries, low travel range between recharge, problems with repairs, and at time problems with morning start up.”
