Query: Power Plant Operation During Cold Weather
A question from our colleague at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill:
Q1. Do any plant operators place any restrictions on switching in cold weather, because of the difficulty of restarting any boilers that might be inadvertently dropped if something went wrong?
Q2. Do you put any restriction on switching in cold weather for any other reasons?
Discussion during tomorrow’s E&H teleconference.
