Thirty six comments on proposals by ASHRAE 90.1 technical committees have been submitted by @StandardsUMich and its collaborators in calendar year 2015.   ASHRAE 90.1 Energy Standard for Buildings Except Low-Rise Residential Buildings developed by the American Society of Heating and Refrigeration Engineers is usually incorporated by reference into the International Energy Conservation Code; which itself is incorporated by reference into federal energy conservation legislation.    As such it is a significant document; which moves quickly within ASHRAE’s continuous maintenance process, and requires near daily attention.   A few of the most recent comments regarding lighting are linked below:

It is noteworthy that ASHRAE has been to dominant standard for lighting energy consumption in the United States — as opposed to the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) — therefore we are seeking education facilities industry consultation on the concepts underlying these comments during a teleconference of the IEEE Education & Healthcare Facilities Committee (E&H) scheduled for Tuesday, November 3rd.   Note that this particular teleconference will be hosted at the regularly scheduled times listed on the E&H web site but from Geneva, Switzerland during the joint ISO and IEC Public Policy Conference.
