We are considering an RFP for a neutrally hosted distributed antenna system (DAS) as opposed to managing several contracts with small cell installations from the various service providers (AT&T, Sprint, Verizon, etc.). Before going down the RFP path we are wondering if there are other institutions in semi-urban areas that may have installed a DAS already. The question from administration is whether we can anticipate enough revenue sharing with the neutrally hosted DAS provider to make the extra work and time involved with installing a NH DAS worthwhile or should we just continue to entertain the small cell contracts.
Has anyone dealt with this issue already and have any advice?
