IEEE Women in Engineering, one of the largest international professional organizations dedicated to promote women engineers and scientists, announced the formation of its Beijing section (IEEE Beijing Section Women in Engineering Affinity Group) in Dec 2016. Yong Hua Lin from IBM Research – China, was nominated as the first Affinity Group Chair. This group has been established as a platform to enhance career advancement for women in engineering and foster communication and collaboration among women in scientists and engineers.
