UMIEEE: Introduction to LaTeX Seminar
LaTeX is a powerful typesetting system, used for producing scientific and mathematical documents. This seminar will present an introduction to LaTeX and the basic features needed to write a paper.
Waves Chapter Seminar
The Multi-level Fast Multipole Algorithm (MLFMA) is established as the most important method for solving large-scale electromagnetic scattering problems. In this presentation, Jonatan Aronsson discuss the parallelization and implementation of the MLFMA on commodity graphics processing units (GPUs).
Modeling and Simulation of Zombie Outbreaks and Interventions
In this presentation, Bob McLeod will address the mathematical modeling techniques traditionally referred
to as agent based modeling, but for the purposes of this talk, these will be referred to as Zombie Based Modeling (ZBM).
UofM GradCon 2010
GradCon is an annual event during which current research, conducted by Graduate Students from the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering at the University of Manitoba (Winnipeg, Canada) is showcased.
SC3: Smith Carter HQ
Smith Carter’s main office, SC3, has received critical acclaim, winning a Governor General’s Medal for Architecture in 2006 and was the first to achieve LEED© Platinum Certification in Manitoba in May 2009. In this unique presentation, Howard Procyshyn, and Sarah Chernis, will share insight about the planning, design, construction, and ongoing use of the building.
