IEEE Sweden VT-COM-IT Joint Chapter Best Student Journal Paper Award
Eligibility:
- Papers published within a window of the two previous calendar years in IEEE Transactions and IEEE Journals with a focus on communications systems and theory, Information theory, networking, signal processing, and related areas are eligible for nomination.
- At least the first author must be a student enrolled at a University in Sweden at the time of submission of the paper for review.
- The student author(s) must have done the majority of the research efforts leading to the results reported in the paper, as well as the paper writing.
- The nominated paper (see below for rules of nominations) must be presented at the Swe-CTW workshop organized by the IEEE Sweden VT-COM-IT Joint Chapter.
- At least one of the authors must attend the presentations of the other nominated papers.
Basis for judging:
Quality, originality, utility, timeliness, clarity of presentation, and potential impact.
Nominations:
The main supervisor(s) of the student(s), or a senior academic/researcher with a suitable background in the general area of the paper can nominate eligible papers for consideration. With a nomination the following should be included:
- A statement detailing the relation between the nominator and the nominee(s);
- Certification that the nominee(s) was (were) a student at a University in Sweden at the time the paper was submitted for review;
- For a paper with multiple authors, a statement that clearly details:
- The career status of the remaining authors;
- That the majority of the research work and the paper writing were done by the first-author student (and other co-author students);
- A brief description of the contribution of the paper;
- The main motivation for nominating the paper;
- A copy of the paper, or a link to where a copy of the paper can be downloaded.

Eligibility:
- Papers published within a window of the previous calendar years in IEEE conferences, or IEEE technical co-sponsored events with a focus on communications systems and theory, information theory, networking, signal processing, and related areas are eligible for nomination.
- At least the first author must be a student enrolled at a University in Sweden at the time of submission of the paper for review.
- The student author(s) must have done the majority of the research efforts leading to the results reported in the paper, as well as the paper writing.
