The IEEE Student Ethics Contest is sponsored by the Committee of Ethics and Conduct of the IEEE Members (EMCC). Has been developed for use in the IEEE regional student events to promote the study and the knowledge of the professional ethics of its student members. The contest includes a presentation and defense of the analysis of a case of ethics.
The specific objectives of the program of contest are:
1. To encourage familiarity with the IEEE Code of Ethics and the ethical concepts.
2. To promote a model for the discussion and the analysis of ethical issues;.
3. Offer experience in the application of ethical concepts to typical professional situations.
Awards:
Based on the evaluation criteria, the judges of the competition will determine two winning teams, to which shall be credited:
- 1St Place: USD $300 Certificate.
- 2Nd Place: USD $200 Certificate.
