IEEE Control System Society (CSS) Pakistan Chapter (Islamabad Lahore Karachi Joint Sections Chapter of the IEEE CSS) is declared recipient of “2014 Outstanding Chapter Award” globally.

 

The Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) is the largest volunteer organization of the Electrical Engineers in the world. Control Systems Society (CSS) is one of its premier technical society widely representing Control Engineers from all over the world.
IEEE CSS has local chapters in most of the developed countries of the world, providing a platform for the local engineers for networking and getting together for R&D in Control Systems.
In Pakistan, a joint chapter of CSS is working under the title of Karachi-Lahore-Islamabad  Joint Chapter. The chapter is vibrant in bringing the Pakistani Control Engineers together on one platform and to increase control awareness in the form of technical seminars.
This year, IEEE CSS chose the Karachi-Lahore-Islamabad  Joint Chapter as the Outstanding Chapter of the Year. The award was given by Prof Kirsten Morris, the Vice President, Member Activities of CSS to Prof Aamer Iqbal Bhatti, Chair of the Karachi-Lahore-Islamabad  Joint Chapter, on the 16 of December 2014 at the CSS Award Ceremony held at the JW Mariott, Los Angeles USA.This award is a matter of pride for the control community in Pakistan.
