Panel: Consumer Electronics/IoT Device Security
February 21, 2019 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
Inform IEEE consumer electronics society members on various areas of device security and how you can add security to device in the initial design stage or, later and trade offs between how much security is needed and where to place security in overall system with multiple devices.
I will have speakers Suresh and Jasper to cover areas of security as outlined below. Each speaker will present 20 minutes of lecture followed by 30 minutes of panel discussion. I will facilitate panel discussion and views between speakers.
1. ARM trusted zone, ARM based device security and secured boot – Technical leader and security expert from ARM -Suresh Marisetty
2. Device security, security diagnostics and example to show how you proof for a type of hacking/other attack on the devices by adding hardware/software security in initial design or, later design – CTO of Riscure Jasper Van Woudenberg
