Linux is an open source, flexible, secure operating system, which is why so many companies use it. From the big companies such as Google and NASA to the local companies such as JCA Electronics and Wabtec. Join us to learn more about the Linux Operating sytem and get hands on experience with its command line terminal.
Learn the basics of a Linux machine: the history, the file structure, basics, commands, etc. We will walk through a Linux machine using an Ubuntu 18 virtual machine in VirutalBox. Beginners are welcome!
Requirements: Windows PC
Please install VirtualBox and download Ubuntu 24 at least a day before the presentation. The Ubuntu 24 image may take a hour or more to download depending on your internet speed.
