![]() 2007 Elie Manitoba F5 Tornado Jay is a 14 year member of the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service as a Firefighter Paramedic with experience in hospital emergency rooms. He has been a part of both the Department’s technical rescue and water rescue teams, and is a published author of articles on emergency services and disaster management in both Canada and the US. While emergencies and disasters, such as train derailments, may not always be preventable, the hazards and consequences can be significantly reduced through preparedness and knowing how to deal with stress and consequences. This session will give an introduction to these concepts to help in the prevention, preparation, and reduction of your risk in a critical situation.
