Abstract:
The University of Manitoba Engineering Wine and Cheese event provides a great opportunity for students to meet with business professionals on a one to one basis. Students are able to make contacts within their industry, network with many influential professionals, and have a great time. Wine, cheese, hor d’oeuvres, and refreshments are served throughout the event.
The evening consists of speeches, presentations, awards, and an opportunity for students to walk around and converse with representatives from industry leaders. The dress code for the evening is business professional; and, it is recommended that students bring business cards to hand out to any professionals they may encounter.
Registration:
Professional $20.00, Students $10. Your ticket will include Wine and Hors D’oeuvres. (Cash bar will also be available.) There will be a short 15-20 minute presentation by a local leader in Engineering, along with excellent networking opportunities. Please contact Shirley Bruce (sbruce@apegm.mb.ca) for registration.
