Abstract:
The IEEE Winnipeg Section Executive would also like to invite each of you to join us at The Fyxx, at 835 Dakota Street near St Vital Mall, at 10am this coming Saturday, March 13. This pay-your-own-way coffee-meeting will be used to initiate the planning of our Spring Section Event. Several of you have interesting ideas for our event topic, so please come out and share ideas to help get the event going. As discussed at the AGM, the intention is that this will be the first of two Section-Organized events in 2010, with a view to providing interesting content for our members, while also generating revenue!
If you are able to attend, please RSVP to Lesley, by end of day on Friday March 12. If you have ideas or are willing to help organize the event, but not able to attend the meeting on March 13, please email her to let me know, and she will keep you on a mailing list of organizers, as well as putting forward your ideas on your behalf at this meeting.
Just to clarify, the organizers who attend this meeting will prepare a plan for the event, but are not the only ones who will execute the plan. Depending on our event details, we will engage other section members to also participate in the event organizing.
