Emily Haidemenos
Emily Haidemenos has been a New Product Development Quality Engineer at Sensata Technologies in Attleboro, MA for the past three years. In her role, she works with multiple cross-functional engineering teams to ensure the effectiveness of quality systems. She most recently developed a new Design For Manufacturing process to further improve the cycle time and effectiveness of the Sensata New Product Development process. Emily received her Master’s Degree in Design and Manufacturing Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Lowell and is Six Sigma Black Belt certified.
Outside of her day job, Ms. Haidemenos is an active member of her local Attleboro STEM community as well Sensata’s STEM committee. She has worked with both communities on many joint projects such as STEM Saturdays, competing in the Cambridge Science Festival 2016 TENacious Engineering Rube Goldberg challenge, and creating a three-year mentorship program for local middle school girls. The mentoring program is now in its third year and has been so successful that a replication effort is in place to start a program for middle school boys.
In addition to STEM outreach projects, Emily is co-chair of the Attleboro Women’s initiative, a 28-year-old committee, focused on creating a culture that values and leverages the diversity and strengths of Sensata’s women.
