It includes the developing of engineering standards, the providing of information and instruction to the public and to legislators, as well as technical scientific, literary, educational and other activities that contribute to the electric power discipline or utilize the techniques or products within this discipline.

The IEEE Dielectrics and Electrical Insulation Society seeks to promote the study of dielectric phenomena and behavior, and the development and characterization of the dielectric, chemical, mechanical and environmental properties of all vacuum, gaseous, liquid and solid electrical insulation, and with utilization of these materials in circuits and systems under conditions of use

Message from the Chair:

Welcome to IEEE Vancouver Section Power & Energy Society Chapter website. The chapter activities highlights are technical presentations, workshops, industry tours and banquet. The technical presentations are provided by the experts from industry, academia and IEEE Distinguished Lecturers. The PES chapter events provide a forum for networking among Electrical Engineering professionals working in various industries.

If you are interested in these offerings, please register for a Power & Energy Society membership when you renew your IEEE membership. Additional details about the membership are available at http://www.ieee-pes.org/membership/membership-benefits.

PES Vancouver Chapter has a number of opportunities for volunteers to get involve with our activities. If you are interested in becoming involved, or can suggest a presenter on a topic that you would like to see, please send me an email.

Additionally, I extend my invitation to anyone who would like give a Technical Presentations. If you are interested to give a talk related to Power and Energy, please contact me or any member of our PES Chapter Executives. I would like to extend my thanks to the members & guests of IEEE in Vancouver as well as the IEEE Vancouver Section executives for their support. I look forward for your continued support during 2018.

If you are interested in the activities of IEEE PES and are not subscribed to a Power & Energy Society membership, please use the link above or send me an email to be included on our mailing list.
