Kenny Poon, PhD, is a licensed Professional Engineer working for BC Hydro. He is a currently a transmission planning engineer for Vancouver Island, working on long term planning for the region. Prior to joining BC Hydro, Kenny worked as a clinical assistant professor at Washington State University, delivering courses on power system equipment and power system analysis. Kenny has been volunteering with PES Vancouver since 2015 and was also the Membership Director for IEEE Vancouver from 2016-2017.

Linda is an Engineer-In-Training working for BC Hydro. She is currently going through a 2-year rotation program. She graduated with distinction from the University of Calgary with a Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering, Energy and Environment Specialization. Linda was IEEE Student Branch Chair at her university during her final year and started volunteering with IEEE PES Vancouver since 2018.
Volunteer– Terence Munroe (terence.munroe at bchydro.com)
Terence Munroe is a licensed Professional Engineer with BC Hydro and is presently working with System Planning. He was previously involved with large wind renewable interconnection projects for the province. Terence’s prior work experience include roles within Asset Management for ATCO Electric (transmission company in Alberta) and Vale (mining company in Ontario) as well as Interconnection Planner with the Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO-Ontario). He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Post Graduate Diploma in Electrical Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan. Terence has been volunteering with the PES Vancouver chapter since June 2018.
