IEEE RAS Tunisia Conference (RTC 1.0)

The IEEE RAS Tunisia Conference is a pivotal gathering for all Tunisia Student Branches, aimed at enhancing students’ collective efforts through structured and collaborative initiatives for this inaugural edition. The theme of this edition is Industry 6.0, where we strive for “A Future Where Imagination is Engineered into Reality.” This conference will take place on November 10, 2024, in the City of Science, Tunis, Tunisia. It is organized by IEEE RAS Tunisia Chapter. The IEEE RTC will serve as a comprehensive platform for RAS members to explore cutting-edge advancements in augmented and virtual reality, digital twin technology, AI integration in industrial processes, and the role of IoT in creating interconnected industrial environments. Additionally, the conference will recognize exceptional achievements within our community through prestigious awards. We will honor the most outstanding student branches that have made significant contributions to robotics.

NextGen Expo by AcaROBOTICS

Her insights and expertise provided valuable perspectives that will undoubtedly enhance our projects.

National Robotics Weekend – NRW

We are proud to share that the RAS Chapter is supporting the NRW event by sponsoring the Distinguished Lecture Program. This year, we have the honor of hosting Univ-Prof Dr. Cristina Olaverri Monreal.

Dr. Olaverri Monreal has held esteemed positions such as:

  • President, IEEE Intelligent Transportation Systems Society (2022, 2023)
  • President, Association of Spanish Scientists in Austria (ACERA) since 2022

National Robotics Weekend (NRW), a prestigious 3-day congress, is set to take place at a premier hotel. This event is designed to cater to students who specialize or have an interest in a wide array of fields. It provides a unique opportunity for participants to expand their social networks, enhance their skills, and showcase their expertise.

Dronathon

Saturday, April 20th, 2024

Dronathon is a collaborative event organized by IEEE Ensit (Higher National Engineering School Of Tunis) SB and IEEE AESS Ensit (Higher National Engineering School Of Tunis) SB Chapter, dedicated to exploring the realm of drones through immersive learning and innovation. The event is scheduled to take place on April 20th and 21st, with activities commencing on April 20th at 9am.

Starting from 9am on April 20th, participants will engage in the check-in process and a welcoming ceremony. From 11am until 7pm, a series of conferences and workshops will unfold, covering a diverse range of topics including advanced technical aspects of drone design, programming,  manufacturing, business development strategies, and financial planning for startups within the drone industry. Experienced experts will lead these sessions, providing valuable insights and practical advice for transforming innovative ideas into successful ventures.

At 7pm, team-building activities will commence, fostering collaboration and camaraderie among participants. At 12am, the specifications books for the hackathon will be shared, signaling the start of the hackathon, which will continue until 1pm on April 21st. During this time, teams will collaborate to tackle challenges presented in the specifications books, showcasing their skills and creativity in solving real-world problems in the drone domain.

On April 21st, from 1pm onwards, teams will pitch their solutions, and winners will be announced. Prizes will be awarded to the winning teams, recognizing their achievements and innovative contributions.

Whether you’re passionate about the technical aspects of drones or interested in business development strategies and user-centered innovation, Dronathon offers a unique opportunity to delve into the exciting world of drones while exploring fundamental principles of entrepreneurship and design thinking. Join us for an inspiring two-day journey of discovery and collaboration.

TRY ROBOTICS ENGINEERING SUMMER SCHOOL “LEGO ROBOTICS TRAINING”

TRY ROBOTICS ENGINEERING SUMMER SCHOOL “ARDUINO ROBOTICS TRAINING”

An exciting robotics week training for primary school students is organized by IEEE Hac Robotics for equality & Democracy and RAS Tunsia Chapter. Including a couple of co-located activities the Lego Robotics and Arduino Robotics, which targeted the 10-14 th years old pupils aiming to show how to build and code diff-drive obstacle avoidance robots based on open hard Arduino like platforms.

IEEE HAC “R4(E&D)” TRAINING OF TRAINER SESSION 2 (SUMMER CAMP PREPARATION)

This session is a technical preparation session for volunteers to build and program an obstacle avoidance robot. They will practice robotics components wiring as well as robotics coding based on scratch environement. This session also focus on Lego programming using WeDo.
