Organised by IEEE Bangalore Section as part of the Monsoon Workshop Series in collaboration with IEEE MSRIT.
On 16th July 2016, IEEE Bangalore Section hosted a workshop on the Basics of Swift Programming in the Apple Lab of the ISE Department in M S Ramaiah Institute of Technology. There were 23 students who took part in the workshop from over 10 colleges.
Mr. DarshanShivakumar, iOS Developer, IINCORE Software Solutions, was the instructor for this workshop, who truly brought a different perspective on how to go about this programming language. The hands on session started at 9:30 AM and continued till 4:30 PM. The program included basics and the objective approach of swift programming, app development on swift was minutely touched with study materials being mailed to all the participants.
The facilities provided by the college were outstanding and the lab was beyond expectations. IEEE Bangalore Section was extremely thankful to ISE Department for allowing them to host the workshop in the lab. The workshop was properly scheduled and various topics were covered within the short span of time. Students found it extremely helpful and informative. The technical support received from the department was extremely beneficial.
Positive Feedback was received from the students and most of them felt that more such workshops needed to be conducted to better equip them for the industry.Finally at the end of the session certificates of participation from IEEE Bangalore Section were handed out to the candidates and the organising team from IEEE and MSRIT were thanked and appreciated for their help in organising this event.
