The Women in Engineering of the IEEE Student Branch Western Macedonia University of Applied Sciences, Kastoria, held its first workshop which dedicated to the Woman in the World of Technology, with honored guests Dr. Kalogiratou Z. Professor of Mathematics and Chairman of the Department of Informatics Engineering, Dr Evangelou Christina, Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineer, Ing, MSc, PhD and Scientific Associate of the Department of Informatics Engineering, as well as Mrs. Karamanou Areti, Research Associate at ITI / CERTH and an extraordinary laboratory associate of the Department of Informatics Engineering.
The purpose of the workshop was to encourage young women to give a strong presence to the female engineers of our department and to the local community in order to engage with Technology, to motivate the new students of the department and to achieve their dreams by Women in Engineering.
The workshop took place on Friday 23 November 2018, at 18:30 at the Big Auditorium of the TEI of Western Macedonia in Kastoria.
