Abstract
LTE-Advanced is the next-generation mobile broadband system, which evolves from LTE technology. The seminar presents the new features of LTE-Advanced, which include advanced relaying techniques, carrier aggregation, coordination multipoint transmission/reception, heterogeneous network deployments and MIMO enhancements (MU-MIMO, virtual MIMO).
Speaker
Dr Anthony Lo has over ten years of experience in mobile and wireless communications. He is currently an assistant professor at Delft University of Technology in The Netherlands. He actively participates in EU research projects which focus on next-generation wireless networks. Prior to joining Delft University of Technology, he worked at Ericsson EuroLab where he was actively involved in UMTS/HSDPA research and development. He received his combined BS/BE degree with first class Honours in Computer Science and Electronics Engineering in 1991 and his Ph.D degree in Protocol and Network Engineering in 1996, all from La Trobe University, Australia. He is a member of ACM, and a senior member of IEEE.
