29th International Workshop on Electric Drives: Advances in Power Electronics for Electric Drives

Dear IAS-IDC members:

The International Workshop on Electric Drives will be held in Moscow Power Engineering Institute on January 27-28, 2022.

This is an annual event held by the Department of Electric Drives at the National Research University «Moscow Power Engineering Institute». Over the past 28 years, it has become one of the major events in the field of electric drive technology and attracts scientists and researchers from all over Russia and abroad to share their research experience. From 2018 year onward, in order to further expand international scientific cooperation, the workshop is conducted in the English language and supported by the broadened international scientific committee including support from the IEEE (Russia Section IE/PE/PEL/IA Joint Chapter). The event is technically co-sponsored by IEEE Industrial Electronics, IEEE Power Electronics and IEEE Industry Applications Societies. The topic of the keynotes for the upcoming event is “Advances in Power Electronics for Electric Drives”.

Keynotes will be delivered by:

– Miroslav Vasic (Universidad Politecnicade Madrid, Spain) – Demystifying Power GaN Devices: Theory and Applications

– Moumita Das (Indian Institute of Technology Mandi, India) – WBG-Devices on Modern Power Electronics and Electric Drives

– Alecksey Anuchin (MPEI, Russia) – Exploring Inverter Topologies for Machine-tool Drives

– Mikhail Chervinsky (Cree) – TBA

100% participation fee discount will be granted for 10 highly evaluated student papers (according to the reviewers’ scores). All the accepted papers and presented at oral or poster sessions will be submitted to IEEE Xplore database to be cross-referred in SCOPUS and Web of Science. 20% of the papers presented on the conference will be eligible for further review for having the possibility of publication in the IAS Transactions or Magazine.
