Final Paper Submission Guidelines

Step 1: Before Creating Your PDF File

You can use the IEEE templates (MS Word or LATEX) to create your source document. These templates can be downloaded from the following website:  http://www.ieee.org/conferences_events/conferences/publishing/templates.html

Please use US Letter, do not use A4.

Please note:
a. Do not add the copyright notice to the bottom of the first page of your source document.
b. Papers must strictly follow the format to be included in the workshop proceedings.
c. The expected length of paper is between 6 to 8 pages. All papers are limited to 8 pages in length (max).
d. Do not add page numbers to your paper.

e. Proofread your source document thoroughly to confirm that it will require no revision.

Step 2: Create Your PDF eXpress Account

Log in to the IEEE PDF eXpress site at: pdf-express.org

First-time users should do the following:
a.  Select the New Users – Click Here link.
b.  Enter the following:  39025X for the Conference ID, your email address, and a password.

c.  Continue to enter information as prompted. An Online confirmation will be displayed and an email confirmation will be sent verifying your account setup.

Previous users of PDF eXpress or IEEE PDF eXpress Plus need to follow the above steps, but should enter the same password that was used for previous conferences. Verify that your contact information is valid.

Upload your file, convert it, and check the status of conversion. Once the conversion is complete, a report will be generated for the file conversion. Check whether conversion was successful, or some changes are needed.

Step 3: Upload Your Paper to EasyChair

Please note that COMPEL 2017 requires every accepted paper to be linked to a full conference registration (i.e., not a student registration) by one of the paper authors. There is a maximum of two papers that can be associated with each full conference registration.

Log into the COMPEL 2017 EasyChair submission page at:
https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=compel2017
and update the information and authors.

a. Before uploading your final paper, make sure the title in EasyChair matches your camera-ready paper exactly.
b. Compare all author names in EasyChair with the author list in your paper. They MUST BE identical and in the same order.

c. Upload your camera-ready final paper only generated by PDF eXpress.

Step 4: Submit an IEEE Electronic Copyright Form

The link to submit an electronic copyright form is
https://superlab.stanford.edu/COMPEL17copyright

If you do not submit an electronic copyright your paper will not be published in the proceedings or on IEEE Xplore. There are five steps in the electronic copyright submission process. The information for the electronic copyright should be prefilled in, but you can edit it if necessary.

Please contact us (compel2017@ee.stanford.edu) if you have any questions.

Revised Paper Submission

Following the tradition of COMPEL, authors are allowed to submit revised version of their papers after for a short period after the conference. Friday, July 21, 2017 is the deadline for revised papers to be included in the COMPEL Proceedings on IEEE Xplore.
