Monitoring-based commissioning (MBCx) is the practice of continually optimizing building performance by leveraging fault detection and diagnostics software integrated with an existing building automation system. In addition to learning how MBCx helps buildings save energy and increase operational efficiency, this presentation will overview ComEd’s Building Optimization incentives program which allows building owners and operators to take advantage of drastic reduction in the cost to install MBCx software and engage with a qualified service provider to ensure it is used to properly identify energy conservation measures and operational improvements.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Marie Curatolo is a Project Manager and the lead for building optimization projects at Environmental Systems Design, Inc (ESD). Marie works with ESD’s Energy+Eco team to provide a variety of energy management and sustainability solutions catering to client needs, goals, timelines, and budgets. She brings years of energy management experience and a passion for bringing efficiency and sustainability to the field of building science.
