On December 9th, 2019, Prof. Antonio Plaza and Prof. Jun Li visited the School of Computer Science in Wuhan University and gave presentations. More than 60 students and teachers participated in this activity, including more than 15 IEEE GRSS members in Wuhan Chapter.

Prof. Antonio Plaza gave a speech about “Deep Auto-Encoder Network for Hyperspectral Image Unmixing”. Prof. Plaza is the Head of the Hyperspectral Computing Laboratory at the Department of Technology of Computers and Communications, University of Extremadura. Prof. Plaza is a Fellow of IEEE “for contributions to hyperspectral data processing and parallel computing of Earth observation data.”

Prof. Jun Li gave a speech about “3-D Gabor Filtering and its Application on Hyperspectral Image Classification”. Prof. Li is currently a Professor with the School of Geography and Planning, Sun Yat-sen University, Guangzhou, China. She has served as a Guest Editor of a Special Issue in the prestigious Proceedings of the IEEE journal. She has also served as a Guest Editor of a Special Issue in the prestigious ISPRS Journal of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing journal. He has been serving as an Associate Editor of the IEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Applied Earth Observations and Remote Sensing since 2014.
