Abstract:

MHI (Manitoba Hydro International) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Manitoba Hydro. It assists power utilities, governments, and private sector clients around the world in the efficient, effective, and sustainable delivery of electricity and natural gas

This presentation will highlight how MHI has provided the services to some of its clients including:

  • Timor Leste – Management of Electricidade de Timor-Leste
  • Mozambique – Technical Assistance Project – HCB
  • Zambia – Engineer for Itezhi-Tezhi Project (ITT) and Transmission Line, Kafue-Livingston Project (KL)
  • Liberia – Management Contract of Liberia Electricity Corporation
  • Mongolia – Demonstration Project for Improved Electricity Services

Speaker Bio:

Mrs. Konieczny has a BA in Communications from the University of Winnipeg and a Diploma in Creative Communications from Red River College. In 2009, she started her career as an Advertising and Promotions Coordinator at Manitoba Hydro. Since 2013, Mrs. Konieczny has been managing the production of effective external and internal communications for MHI Utility Services Division. In March 2013, she travelled to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to provide communications training to MHI consultants working in the region. As the Communications Specialist, Mrs. Konieczny is responsible for creating MHI’s Communications Guidelines and policies for the division, and ensuring consistency, quality, and complicity in all internal and external communications.
