Abstract:

The Bipole III Transmission Reliability Improvement Initiative is an important project to Manitoba Hydro’s system reliability. This presentation will provide an update of the project progress to date, highlights of technical aspects of the project, and an outlook of upcoming activities and key milestones.

Speaker Bio:

Brian Frost received his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Manitoba in 2004. During his ten years at Manitoba Hydro, he has worked at the Radisson, Henday and Dorsey HVDC converter stations where he was responsible for operations, maintenance and design functions. Since 2011, Brian has been involved in the engineering, planning and project management of the Keewatinohk and Riel converter station components for the Bipole III project.

Adèle Poulin received her Bachelor of Science in ‎Civil Engineering, in Feb. 1998.  She completed her Masters Certificate in Project Management in 2011.  She has worked for Manitoba Hydro for over 16 years, with experience in planning, design, and construction.  Since 2006 Adele has been involved in the project management of the Transmission components of the Bipole III project.
