About

Dr. Kazi Tanvir Ahmmed obtained his Bachelor of Electrical and Electronic Engineering degree from Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology. He then received his Master’s degree in Communication Engineering from the University of Manchester. He attained the Doctor of Philosophy in Electrical Engineering from the City University of Hong Kong studying the mode division multiplexing technology for future optical communication networks. He joined the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, University of Chittagong, Bangladesh in 2010 and currently serving as an Associate Professor. His current research interest includes optical communication systems, integrated optics, free-space optics, photonic devices, and micro-fabrication.
