On 30th of August 2020, IEEE Student Branch Chittagong University arranged a webinar on “Higher Studies Opportunities in U.S.A

Most of the undergrad students aspire to go abroad for continuing their post-graduation. Unfortunately, most of the students consider this an ambiguous journey.

A set of proper instructions is indispensable for all the students who are willing to go abroad after completing their graduation. To help those enthusiasts IEEE Student Branch Chittagong University is arranging a webinar where students will be able to quench their thirst regarding Higher study questions.

Let us introduce the webinar speakers of this webinar. Despite the difference in their research interests, they have several things in common,one of them is all three of them are former students of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at the University of Chittagong.

The short bio of our webinar speakers are given below:
Currently, Sakibul Azam is a graduate research assistant at the University of Alabama where he is seeking his Ph.D. at the Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering. Before that, he was a graduate research assistant at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Texas Tech University.
Sopan Sarker is pursuing his Ph.D. at the University of Arizona where he is also a graduate research assistant. He completed his Masters of Science in Engineering from the University of Alabama.
Mahmud Rizvee is a Ph.D. student at the University of Memphis where he is also a graduate research assistant. Mahmud received his Masters of Science from Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology.

The focus of this webinar was to give a guideline for all those students who aspire to go U.S.A for higher education after completing their graduation. Topics such as how to write an effective email, the importance of undergraduate research experience and extracurricular activities, How to take preparation for standardization tests like IELTS, TOEFL, and GRE were also discussed during the webinar.
