About the webinar: PES Women in Power’s mission is to advance the world through the creativity and innovation of diverse leadership, and to foster the careers, connections, and talent of women in the Power Industry to achieve their full potential to become the leaders of the future. IEEE HAC provides a suite of resources that inspire and enable IEEE volunteers around the world to carry out and support impactful humanitarian technology and sustainable development activities at the local level.

Today, volunteers play an even larger role in fostering the implementation of meaningful technology to better meet the needs of society, providing assistance to communities, and educating generations. The IEEE PES WiP and IEEE HAC team will be hosting an inspiring webinar on our roles as volunteers in the humanitarian sector. Advocates, Celia Shahnaz, Pia Lucia, and Simay Akar will share insights on the need to volunteer for humanitarian activities, impactful ways to contribute as a volunteer, and examples of the humanitarian work they partake in. The webinar will be moderated by Sainab Taiwo Ninalowo.
