A one-day event (14th March) held by IEEE-IST in Instituto Superior Técnico – Campus do Taguspark with a main goal of gathering several portuguese WIE Affinity Groups in order to make them thrive for a better future.
Since this was the First WiE’s National Meeting ever held in Portugal, there was a great effort by WIE IEEE-IST in providing different and fruitful moments such as: learning, entertainment and also moments where the 30 participants shared their WiE related experiences.
Learning moments were composed by a talk called “Women in Engineering” where the participants had the opportunity to learn with several women researchers and scientists who shared what it took to build their successful careers in Portugal and by an Emotional Intelligence at Work Workshop. All participants from several WIE Student AGs in Portugal had the opportunity to share their best experiences and to connect with others through dynamic activities where teambuilding and communication skills were highlighted.
