Welcome to the Joint Power Engineering Society (PES) Chapter for the Northern Virginia and Washington DC areas. The joint chapter provides IEEE members an opportunity to network with colleagues and fellow engineers as well as share expertise through technical exchange and professional development activities. To this end, we plan to host technical presentations, continuing education classes, tutorials, lectures and social and award events to our members and the public. We welcome all PES members living and practicing in the Northern Virginia and Washington DC metro areas to join us in participating in the various activities in our Chapter.
Speakers Welcome: The NOVA/Washington Joint PES Chapter extends invitations to speakers interested in giving technical presentations in power, energy, industrial applications and controls areas. Please contact chapter officers to set dates and venues.
Co-Chapters: We also collaborate with other chapters in our area such as the Industrial Applications Society (IAS) and Control Systems Society (CSS) chapter as well as Student and PES Chapters in Region 2 in co-sponsoring events.
