Executive Position Descriptions

Educational Activities Chair / TISP Coordinator
Responsible for coordinating and promoting educational activities at the Section level. Possible activities may include technical presentations/seminars/workshops on topics that cater to the audience of the Section. Some additional activities may include TISP (Teacher In-Service Program), or alternatively TISP activities may be delegated to a different person.

Professional Activities Chair
Responsible for coordinating and promoting professional activities at the Section level. Possible activities may include networking events bringing together section members of similar interests.

Communications / Publications
Responsible for editing the Section newsletter and sending announcements through e-Notice to members about activities in the Section.

Webmaster
Responsible for managing and maintaining contents on the Section website (http://northsask.ieee.ca).

Young Professionals Affinity Group Committee
Responsible for coordinating and promoting activities catered to members who are new to the profession. These activities may include networking events that connect YP members to senior members in the industry (e.g. Fireside Chats), workshops/seminars on topics that YP members may be interested in, or mentorship opportunities.

Women-In-Engineering Affinity Group Committee
Responsible for coordinating activities that promote women in the engineering profession and inspire young girls in pursuing a career in engineering. These activities may include networking events bringing together men and women in the profession, educational events in collaboration with schools or other professional associations (e.g. APEGS, Go ENG Girl) to promote engineering to the next generation.

Computer Chapter Committee
Responsible for coordinating and promoting events related to the IEEE Computer Society. Some activities may include distinguished lecture presentations, or networking events bringing together members of the Computer Society in the Section.

PES/IAS Joint Chapter Committee
Responsible for coordinating and promoting activities related to the Power and Energy Society and Industrial Applications Society. Some activities may include distinguished lecture presentations, or networking events bringing together members of the PES/IAS in the Section.

Member-At-Large
Members who wish to contribute to various aspects of Section activities not listed in other executive positions.
