Topic: Condition Based Monitoring: Moving from Data to Action for Medium Voltage Switchgear
Speaker: Rodrigo Kaschny – Product Line Director Automation @ Powell Industries
Abstract: The main challenges of performing maintenance on MV circuit breakers and switchgear are to reduce downtime, improve safety of operating personnel, and prevent inadvertent damage to systems infrastructure. This presentation will explore product technologies and analytical tools for MV circuit breakers and switchgear to transform “data to action”, for better operation of equipment, reduced cost of ownership, reduced risk, and overall improvement in productivity. What you will learn:
1. Main challenges operating medium voltage circuit breakers and switchgear. 2. Benefits in moving from scheduled to predictive and preventive maintenance. 3. Using data to operate equipment more safely and efficiently.
4. Existing and new sensing technology for condition based monitoring.
5. Using Analytics to transform “Data to Action”.
