Muhammad Ali Babar Abbasi
Biography: Dr. Muhammad Ali Babar Abbasi is a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) with the Centre of Wireless Innovation (CWI) at the Queen’s University Belfast UK. He is the Grand Prize winner of the GSMA Mobile World Scholar challenge 2019, for his work (with colleagues Fusco, Matthaiou, Tataria) on a dual Rotman lens based 28 GHz beamformer. The photo shows their new design (2020) using a sphere placed in a 5G base station, that improves connectivity for up to 15 simultaneous users per cell with no loss of bandwidth for each one of them
