Dear IDC Friends,

 It is with great sadness that I write to tell you that Prof. Robert Lorenz passed away on Sunday, January 27, 2019, with all his three kids and his wife Sally at his side.

Bob has been a prominent member of IDC for many years.

In addition to his valuable contributions in the fields of drives and machines among others, many of us had the honor of enjoying his enthusiasm, energy and friendliness, even during his battle with a severe illness over the last year.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Madison on Saturday, February 9, at 11:00am, at Covenant Presbyterian Church.

Visitations will be held on Friday evening, February 8, at Cress Funeral Home on Speedway Road, and at Covenant on Saturday, prior to the service.
