Announcement of the IDC Prize Paper Awards 2017
Greetings to IAS-IDC Members,
We are pleased to announce the prize papers of the 2018 IDC paper awards.
The award subcommittee was organized as
————————————————————————————————-
Fabio Giulii Capponi (Chair) La Sapienza, University of Rome
Richard Lukaszewski Allen-Bradley
Ion Boldea University Politechnica Timisoara
Pierluigi Tenca Phase Motion Control
Seung-Ki Sul Seoul National University
Rakib Islam Nexteer Automotive
Jun Koo Kang LG Electronics
Semyon Royak Rockwell Automation
————————————————————————————————–
They have dedicated their efforts to select the best paper among the papers submitted to TIA by the end of November 2017 (15 papers were eligible this year) with the leading role of Fabio.
The evaluation was conducted as follows:
1) According to the review criteria, each reviewer was requested to define his preferred ranking list of the 15 papers.
2) A score was given to each paper according to its position in each ranking list.
For example, if a paper ranked #1, it received 14 points (because it was better than the remaining 14 papers, according to the reviewer’s opinion), if it ranked #15, it received zero.
3) The scores resulting from the reviewers’ opinions were summed to find the final score of each paper.
The prize papers and comments from the subcommittee are:
