Abstract:
The need for electric power demand has increased exponentially in recent years due to a growth in EV adoption, rapid urbanization, and renewable energy integration. This increase in power demand also necessitates a need for reliable power in today’s distribution network. Ageing grid infrastructure and the impacts of climate change pose challenges to maintaining reliability in power delivery. This presentation explores various strategies to improve distribution grid reliability and resiliency through strategic deployment of advanced self-powered reclosers.
