WIES (Arrowhead IEEE Women In Engineering) Spring Meeting

March 19, 2019 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm CDT

We are excited to have Christine Bakke present on the importance of requiring K12 schools to include Technology and Engineering as part of their regular classroom curriculum – for all students – for all ages.  Many k-12 schools only have technology and engineering as optional classes in High School and robotics clubs/sports. They do not teach technology or engineering anywhere in the required curriculum. Her presentation will discuss why and how people can support this change.

Christine Bakke has a background in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering and educational instruction. Her career has emphasized database, programming, networking, webmaster and technology.  Currently, she is a full time instructor in Software Engineering & Information Technology at the University of Minnesota, Crookston.
