The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers is the world’s largest technical professional society. We help advance global prosperity by promoting the engineering process of creating, developing, integrating, sharing, and applying knowledge about electronics, information technologies and sciences for the benefit of humanity and the profession. The Arrowhead IEEE branch is a local professional branch of the National International IEEE organization.
The Arrowhead Section consists of active members distributed across nineteen counties in Northeastern Minnesota, Northern Wisconsin, and Northwestern Michigan. Administratively we are a part of Region 4. We have around 180 members in our section.
The Arrowhead Section has an IEEE Power & Energy Society (PES) Chapter, a Young Professionals (YP) Affinity Group, a Women In Engineering (WIE) Affinity Group, a Student Chapter at the University of Minnesota – Duluth with Scott Norr as the Faculty Advisor and a Student Chapter at Iron Range Engineering (IRE) in Virginia, MN.
